Grantmaking Supports BC Charities
We recognize that communities are complex and that many factors go into creating a healthy and vibrant place to live. As a result, we fund a wide variety of programs and projects in a variety of areas.
Here you will find information about our granting programs and the application processes.
1. Community Impact Grants
Through our Community Impact Grants we are interested addressing the most compelling needs across BC. We provide grants to registered charities throughout BC in nine fields of interest:
- Animal Welfare
- Arts and Culture
- Children, Youth and Families
- Education
- Environment
- Health and Social Development
- Health and Medical Education/Research
- Youth Homelessness
- Youth Philanthropy

2. Special Granting Programs
These are funds that we administer on behalf of donors, corporations or governments, each with their own funding process at Vancouver Foundation:
- Disability Supports for Employment Fund
- Giving in Action: Family Independence Fund
- Giving in Action: Children and Youth with Special Needs Supports Fund
- Public Health Bursaries
- Vancouver Sun Children's Fund
3. Partnership Granting Programs
These are funding programs in which Vancouver Foundation partners with other funding organizations, each with their own external funding process:

- Emergency Medical Assistant Education Fund
