Partnership Granting Programs

As BC's philanthropic leader, Vancouver Foundation partners with organizations and other funders to collectively support the needs of our communities.

Organizations are invited to apply to any of these programs if you think you meet the funding eligibility guidelines. Please note that each of the initiatives described below has its own application process.

Vancouver Foundation partners in the following funding programs with other organizations, funders and corporations.

Artists in Education

For more than 25 years, the Artists in Education program has supported the arts in schools across the province by providing matching funds for performances, workshops and residencies. AIE has introduced hundreds of thousands of children and youth to traditional and cultural events in a multidisciplinary range of dance, theatre, music, literary, media and visual arts.

Emergency Medical Assistant Education Fund

This fund, established by The Emergency Health Services Commission, provides awards to students enrolled in Emergency Medical Assistant (EMA) programs that have been approved by the EMA Licensing Board. In BC there is a severe shortage of paramedics working in rural, northern and remote areas. Awards from this fund will address the shortage by encouraging paramedics to work in these areas.

Neighbourhood Small Grants

Strong, vibrant communities are an essential part of our province’s social and economic fabric. When residents become active in their neighbourhoods, communities are strengthened from the ground up. This is the reason Vancouver Foundation’s Neighbourhood Small Grants Program was created. Started in 1999, the program supports resident-led grassroots actions that enhance the local neighbourhood. Funds are administered by various neighbourhood houses and community-based organizations across Metro Vancouver.
